Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a Senior Electrician in the West Chester, OH area. The role focuses on maintenance, reliability, and performance of electrical systems across multiple facilities.

You will troubleshoot, repair and upgrade high-voltage distribution, motor controls, and PLC-controlled equipment, with responsibility for documentation and safety compliance. Experience in industrial settings and a Journeyman license are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 7+ years of industrial electrician experience in manufacturing, industrial, aerospace or large facility environments.
• Extensive experience with 480 VAC power distribution systems and industrial electrical infrastructure.
• Strong troubleshooting with motor controls, VFDs, PLCs, relays, contactors and electrical control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, construction drawings, and technical documentation.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, lockout/tagout and safety practices.
• Experience using electrical test equipment (multimeters, clamp meters, insulation testers).
• Ability to run conduit, pull wire, use power and mechanical tools, and work at heights with lifts.
• Ability to work independently and serve as site electrical SME.
• Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own maintenance, reliability and performance of electrical systems across multiple buildings.
• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain high-voltage electrical distribution systems and production support systems.
• Install wiring, lighting, controls, transformers, breakers, panels and disconnects.
• Lead electrical infrastructure upgrades (panelboards, transformers, MCCs, buss duct, breakers, distribution equipment).
• Plan and coordinate electrical shutdowns, equipment replacements and system tie-ins with minimal production disruption.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance strategies for critical assets.
• Support new equipment installations, commissioning, facility expansions, and capital projects.
• Manage electrical contractors and vendors; maintain CMMS documentation.
