Job summary

Howmet in Cleveland, OH is seeking an Industrial Power Systems Electrician to maintain and improve plant-wide electrical infrastructure. You will install, service, and repair equipment, read blueprints, and ensure safety standards are met to minimize downtime.

The role requires a high school diploma, plus either a Journeyman’s card or 4+ years of maintenance experience. Overtime and weekend work may be required, with a base hourly wage and shift differentials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; electrical apprenticeship preferred.
• Journeyman’s card OR 4+ years of applicable maintenance experience AND a qualifying score on an assessment administered during the interview process.
• Solid understanding of industrial electrical systems, circuits, and troubleshooting methods.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair industrial electrical equipment and plant power systems.
• Perform scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance across assets and systems.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to complete work accurately.
• Diagnose faults quickly and implement durable fixes to minimize downtime.
• Uphold electrical codes, plant safety standards, and best practices.
• Document maintenance, repairs, and parts usage with precision.
