Job summary

McGough in Minnesota is seeking an Electrical Project Manager for industrial projects. You will lead planning, coordinating, and executing electrical scopes from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget compliance.

You will liaise with owners, engineers, designers, subcontractors, and field crews, guiding procurement, scheduling, and field execution while mentoring junior staff. Travel to out-of-town assignments is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field required.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, codes, power distribution, controls, instrumentation, and automation.
• 7+ years of experience in electrical project management with a focus on industrial construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead project preconstruction efforts including estimating support, design reviews, value engineering, and electrical system planning.
• Develop detailed project schedules and phasing plans aligned with milestones.
• Define scopes of work and manage electrical subcontractors and vendors.
• Provide daily oversight and coordination of all electrical installation activities on-site.
• Manage budgets, cost forecasting, invoices, change orders, and cash flow.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, NEC and local codes.
• Build relationships with owners, design partners, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Mentor and coach Asst. PMs and PEs.
