Job summary
Ergon Inc. is seeking a Senior Designer to act as a technical lead on capital projects within a national asphalt network.
You will develop complex 2D/3D deliverables, lead design coordination, and guide junior designers, ensuring constructible, standards-compliant results. The role involves field integration, clash resolution, and support for project planning, with collaboration across engineering, PM, maintenance, and plant operations.
Qualifications
- 7+ years industrial design experience in asphalt, oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical processing, or related manufacturing.
- 2+ years in a senior/lead design role preferred.
- Ability to interpret engineering specs, vendor data, and field conditions to drive design solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead design efforts for multidisciplinary capex projects with coordinated deliverables.
- Develop detailed 2D drawings and 3D models across multiple disciplines.
- Review and approve drawings by junior designers or external partners.
- Support field walkdowns, RFIs, redlines, and as-builts.
