Job summary

Ergon Inc. is seeking a Junior Designer Engineer to join the Corporate PCR team in Flowood, MS. This entry-level role supports Senior Designers in developing and maintaining 2D and 3D CAD drawings using Autodesk Plant 3D for capital projects and maintenance activities.

You will collect field data, perform laser scanning, and help keep facility master data accurate. The position offers opportunities to learn drafting best practices and collaborate with the Engineering Design Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; proficient with Word/Excel.
• Proficiency or knowledge with AutoCAD and Autodesk Plant 3D.
• Postsecondary certification or associate degree in technical drawing recommended.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe work habits and organized workspace.
• Collaborate with Senior Designers on drawings (2D/3D CAD) and project support.
• Travel for site visits and laser scanning; assist in as-building and scope development.
• Operate CAD systems to produce or modify drawings (P&IDs, Plot Plans, Civil/Structural, Piping, Isometrics).
• Assist in maintaining master data and drawing numbering systems.
• Support design meetings and provide drafting support to departments and contractors.
