Job summary

SW Funk Industrial Contractors seeks an experienced Concrete Foreman to lead industrial concrete crews on projects across Virginia and the surrounding region. This hands-on leadership role plans work, supervises crews, ensures quality workmanship, and maintains a safe job site.

Projects typically lie within a four-hour drive of Richmond, VA, and require strong blueprint literacy, layout skills, and a commitment to OSHA safety standards. Travel to regional job sites is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in industrial concrete or form carpentry.
• 2+ years’ experience leading construction crews.
• Strong blueprint reading and layout skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
• Experience with concrete forming, rebar, anchor bolts, concrete placement, and finishing.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel to regional job sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise crews of 5–10 carpenters, finishers, and laborers
• Plan daily work activities and assign tasks
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Perform layout for concrete formwork and anchor bolts
• Coordinate labor, materials, and equipment
• Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to specification
• Complete daily reports, timesheets, and safety documentation
• Train and mentor crew members
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
