Confident Search Consultants in Raleigh, NC, seeks a Sales Manager – Industrial & Automation to drive growth in key markets. You will engage new top-tier customers, manage assigned accounts, and lead cross-functional collaboration to promote automation technologies.

The role requires 5+ years in industrial automation sales, a Bachelor’s in Engineering (BSEE preferred), and willingness to travel ~50% to develop strategic opportunities and ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required; BSEE strongly preferred.
• 5+ years selling industrial automation components.
• Direct calling sales experience preferred over go-through resellers; ability to develop long-term account strategies.

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage new top-tier customer segments and build relationships at commercial and engineering levels.
• Serve as primary contact for assigned accounts, including daily operations and executive discussions; focus on new prospects with cold calling (≈50%).
• Maintain knowledge of customer product roadmaps to uncover future opportunities.
• Collaborate with product management to promote new industrial automation technologies and applications.
• Drive revenue growth (min. 5% YoY) and develop new opportunities in target industries.
• Ensure on-time delivery and accurate CRM forecasting for business planning.
