Placements24 is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join a leading industrial automation team on a fully remote basis. You will design and implement electrical control systems for diverse automated processes, from concept through commissioning, with emphasis on safety and quality.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in electrical design for automation, expertise in PLC programming (Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000), and strong documentation skills for remote collaboration across

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in electrical design for industrial automation.
• Proven PLC programming and HMI/SCADA development.
• Strong knowledge of electrical components and panel design.
• Familiarity with Profibus/Profinet/Ethernet/IP.
• Understanding of IEC 60204-1 and safety standards.
• Excellent communication for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical control systems for industrial automation.
• Select components, PLCs, HMIs, and drives per project.
• Program/configure PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and develop HMIs.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, and project teams.
• Oversee testing and commissioning, remotely or on-site as needed.
• Create design specs, manuals, and maintenance guides.
• Stay current with advances in automation technology.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical support.
