Job summary
Owens & Minor is seeking a Senior Manager, Indirect Category Management to lead category strategies, sourcing programs, supplier management, and complex procurement initiatives for indirect spend categories. You will partner with business leaders to understand requirements, improve supplier value, deliver cost savings, and drive procurement process discipline.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in software licensing, SaaS negotiations, cloud economics, and IT services procurement,
Qualifications
- 10+ years of procurement, sourcing, or related experience.
- 3+ years of direct people leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of indirect procurement and category management across multiple spend areas.
Responsibilities
- Lead multiyear category strategies for indirect spend (Software, SaaS, Cloud, IaaS, Hardware, Telecom).
- Directly supervise Category Managers, Analysts, and Specialists.
- Lead end-to-end sourcing events, including RFP/RFQ, negotiations, and awards.
- Partner with Legal, Finance, and IT leadership to support contracts and decision-making.
- Drive annual P&L reduction and value through sourcing, negotiations, and supplier optimization.
