Job summary
Owens & Minor is seeking a Senior Manager, Indirect Category Management to lead category strategies, sourcing programs and supplier management for indirect spend. You will partner with executives to deliver cost savings, improve supplier value, and strengthen procurement processes.
The ideal candidate has 10+ years in procurement, deep knowledge of indirect categories, and proven leadership of cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required and 10+ years in procurement or related field.
- 10+ years of procurement, sourcing, or category management experience.
- 3+ years of direct people leadership experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute multiyear category strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead end-to-end sourcing events, including RFP/RFQ and negotiations.
- Manage key supplier relationships and track performance and savings.
- Deliver annual cost reductions and value optimization for indirect categories.
- Mentor and develop team members on procurement best practices.
