Job summary

Varstaff Staffing is looking for an Indirect Buyer III to lead end-to-end procurement for indirect categories, including COTS products and ET/IT hardware, with aerospace-related materials. You will collaborate with engineering and IT, evaluate suppliers, negotiate favorable terms, and ensure compliance with audit requirements.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in indirect procurement, strong negotiation and supplier management skills, and experience with SAP, Oracle, or Coupa.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of procurement/purchasing experience, preferably indirect buying (3-4 years may be Level II).
• Hands-on experience procuring COTS products and IT/technology hardware.
• Strong negotiation and strategic supplier management skills.
• Proficiency with major ERP/procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa) to process requisitions and track procurement workflows.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute the full procurement lifecycle for indirect goods, including processing purchase requisitions, converting them into purchase orders, and issuing RFQs/RFPs.
• Procure standard COTS products and manage distributor/manufacturer relationships to identify standardization opportunities.
• Purchase ET/IT hardware (computing equipment, networking components, test equipment) and coordinate technical specifications with stakeholders.
• Support aerospace-related procurement by navigating specialized quality certifications, traceability, and compliance standards.
• Develop supplier relationships, negotiate favorable pricing and terms, and resolve delivery or invoice discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with internal company policies, contractual terms, and audit requirements.
