Apple Information Security seeks a Senior Security Incident Response Engineer to join the Incident Response team in Austin, TX. The role focuses on identification, containment, and mitigation of security incidents on a global scale, with a follow-the-sun model and high autonomy in investigations.

You will drive complex investigations, set investigative quality standards, and help evolve processes and capabilities that benefit the entire team.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in Information Security with a focus on Incident Response, Security Engineering, and/or Intrusion Detection.
• Proven ability to drive investigations independently and apply remediation strategies.
• Experience mentoring other responders and building durable capabilities.

Responsabilidades

• Own incidents end to end: analyze events, determine root cause, containment and remediation decisions.
• Mentor and grow other responders, raising investigative quality.
• Build durable capability: detections, queries, reusable processes, automations.
• Analyze at scale using raw telemetry and multiple data sources under time pressure.
• Influence across Apple, acting as a trusted technical advisor on response matters.
• Collaborate globally with a distributed security team and coordinate across time zones.
• Schedule and coverage: mostly Mon-Fri with on-call weekends/holidays.
