Job summary

LinkedIn is seeking a Senior Incident Response Engineer to join our Information Security team. You will lead and coordinate incident investigations, triage alerts, and drive remediation across platforms and teams, including PR, HR, Legal, and Engineering.

This role can be remote nationwide with hybrid opportunities in Mountain View. You'll mentor junior engineers, develop playbooks, and improve detection and response workflows while supporting on-call rotations and cross-functional collaboration

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Information Security, CyberSecurity, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years in Information Security with 3+ years in Incident Response.
• Experience triaging security alerts and handling incident lifecycles.

Responsibilities

• Independently triage security alerts and incident reports.
• Investigate incidents using forensic and threat-hunting skills.
• Drive small to medium scale incidents to closure with cross-team collaboration.
• Conduct host, network, and log analysis to support investigations.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to playbooks and processes.
