Job summary

Rutgers University seeks a Senior Incident Response Analyst to join the Office of Information Technology. The role oversees daily detection and response operations, provides expert investigations, and supports remediation across Rutgers' networks and devices.

You will act as an escalation point for Incident Response Analysts, advise campus units, and participate in all phases of the university\'s integrated incident response program within a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent education and five years of relevant information security experience.
• 5+ years in information security; vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, or security operations.
• Experience in enterprise technical environments, preferably in customer-service oriented organizations.

Responsibilities

• Operate daily incident detection and response activities across Rutgers\' computing environment.
• Serve as escalation point for Incident Response Analysts and provide expert investigations.
• Deliver forensic support to detect, remediate threats on networks, hosts and devices.
• Contribute to all phases of Rutgers\' Integrated Incident Response Program (Prepare, Detect, Contain, Eradicate, Recover, Report, Remediate).
• Advise business units and collaborate with peers to improve security controls.
