Job summary

Genentech in South San Francisco is seeking an advanced imaging scientist to drive in vivo preclinical imaging studies, optimize MRI protocols, and integrate multimodal imaging endpoints into translational insights. You will develop robust Python-based image-processing pipelines, run on HPC clusters with containers and GPU acceleration, and apply AI-assisted workflows and prompting to accelerate discovery.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent in quantitative imaging-related field.
• Hands-on experience with in vivo preclinical imaging environments.
• Strong MRI physics knowledge and image formation understanding.
• Proficient in Python in Linux with Git for reproducible workflows.
• Experience using AI-assisted computational tools and prompting techniques.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and optimize in vivo preclinical imaging studies.
• Operate and refine preclinical MRI protocols and quantitative analysis.
• Support multimodal imaging studies integrating PET/SPECT and biodistribution workflows.
• Develop robust Python pipelines for registration, segmentation, and longitudinal analysis.
• Run analyses on HPC clusters using containers and GPU acceleration.
• Apply AI tools and prompting techniques to accelerate discovery and improve documentation.
• Collaborate with biologists, pharmacologists, computational biologists, and research leads to translate imaging endpoints into decisions.
