Pace Analytical Services LLC is seeking a highly qualified candidate to join our in ovo virology program in Iowa. You will design and execute studies focused on embryonated eggs, viral propagation, and vaccine development under GMP/GLP-like supervision.

The role emphasizes data interpretation, collaboration across teams, and rigorous documentation in a fast-paced lab setting. A strong pharmacology mindset and BSL-2 experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s with 2-4 years of industry experience or Ph.D. in Virology, Microbiology, Immunology, Molecular Biology, Animal Science, Veterinary Science, Chemistry, or related field.
• Hands-on experience with in ovo techniques and embryonated egg inoculation.
• Experience with viral propagation or vaccine development activities.
• Knowledge of BSL-2 laboratory environments and aseptic techniques.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform experimental work involving in ovo viral propagation, including inoculation of embryonated eggs and virus harvest procedures.
• Execute laboratory activities with accurate pipetting, sample preparation, and biohazard handling.
• Apply aseptic techniques during virus propagation, sample processing, and media preparation.
• Organize, interpret, and present experimental data to support project advancement and investigations.
• Collaborate with scientists and cross-functional teams to share key learnings.
• Maintain a clean, compliant lab environment and document work in notebooks and batch records.
