Job summary

BrightPath Early Learning & Child Care in the Dallas-Fort Worth area seeks an experienced Assistant General Counsel, Litigation to lead the company’s litigation, claims management, and dispute resolution strategy in partnership with the Chief Legal Officer.

The AGC will provide strategic legal counsel on safety incidents, investigations, insurance matters, and regulatory issues across multi-site operations, overseeing outside counsel, and developing policies to reduce legal exposure while

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and bar admission.
• Active license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Minimum 10 years of legal experience with significant litigation responsibility.
• Experience managing complex litigation and directing outside counsel.
• Experience handling tort, premises liability, employment, and regulatory disputes.
• Experience with internal investigations and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the litigation portfolio and oversee outside counsel.
• Develop and execute balanced litigation strategies.
• Advise executive leadership on risk and exposure.
• Oversee discovery, document preservation, and trial prep.
• Provide guidance on child safety incidents and licensing matters.
• Develop policies, training, and governance for litigation.
• Support enterprise risk management and financial oversight of claims.
