Job summary

Providence is seeking a Senior Labor and Employment Counsel to serve as labor and employment counsel to employers across the Providence system. The role emphasizes traditional labor matters, including bargaining negotiations, pre- and post-election matters, NLRB proceedings, arbitrations, and disputes before EEOC and DOL.

The successful candidate will provide day-to-day employment advice, guide labor strategy, and partner with HR and leadership to manage litigation and risk in a healthcare

Qualifications

• Extensive experience (generally more than 10 years) in practicing employment litigation and labor law.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide labor and employment counsel to Providence employers across the system.
• Lead labor contract negotiations and develop labor strategy with HR leaders and executives.
• Manage and coordinate outside counsel on employment litigation.
• Advise on labor relations strategies, investigations, and regulatory developments.
