Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active bar license in at least one US jurisdiction.
• 8+ years of relevant legal experience in financial services, including in-house.

Responsibilities

• Advise on federal and state laws impacting mortgage lending and financial services.
• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements and vendor contracts.
• Support underwriting guideline updates and legal escalations.
• Oversee default servicing, litigation and bankruptcy strategy.
• Direct outside counsel and third-party servicers to ensure compliance.
• Oversee REO properties and the foreclosure-to-REO handoff process.
• Collaborate with Capital Markets on securitizations and debt financings.
• Support governance matters and board-related minutes/resolutions.
