Job summary

Mason Companies seeks an Assistant General Counsel to provide broad-based legal services under the direction of the General Counsel. The role focuses on contracts, compliance, risk management, employment and regulatory matters across the organization.

The candidate will partner with senior leadership to develop policies, oversee investigations, and coordinate with outside counsel while ensuring strong integrity and confidentiality in all legal affairs.

Qualifications

• J.D. required and bar in good standing.
• In-house and/or financial services experience preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of legal experience.
• Experience with compliance programs and regulatory matters.

Responsibilities

• Provide broad legal advice across contracts, transactions, marketing, risk, employment, and compliance.
• Develop and enhance the company’s compliance program and governance framework.
• Support cross-functional teams and interact with outside counsel as needed.
• Conduct or support internal investigations and regulatory filings.
