Job summary

Weekday 1 is seeking experienced corporate development professionals to contribute to a high-quality library of in-house M&A and corporate development work products. You will complete realistic, self-contained transaction exercises using mock materials such as CIMs, diligence reports, term sheets, and board presentations, and produce professional deliverables evaluated against defined quality standards.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in an in-house corporate development or M&A role within an operating company.
• Ownership of live transactions from initial screening through closing.
• Strong understanding of valuation, financial modeling, and M&A processes.
• Experience preparing materials and recommendations for senior executives or boards.
• Ability to work independently with complex financial information.
• Excellent written communication and analytical skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, decision-ready work.

Responsibilities

• Build valuation and transaction models, including: three-statement models, DCF, comparables, accretion/dilution, and capital tables.
• Analyze, draft, and compare transaction terms (IOIs, LOIs, term sheets, bid comparisons, structures).
• Develop process and executive-level materials (presentations, data packs, board materials, closing mechanics).
• Conduct transaction screening and diligence activities (inbound assessments, diligence lists, findings synthesis).
• Develop synergy models, carve-out analyses, integration plans, and 100-day plans.
• Evaluate strategic, financial, operational, and transaction risks and translate findings into recommendations.
• Produce polished, decision-ready deliverables for senior management and board review.
