Job summary
Caterpillar in Dayton, OH is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in embedded systems and sensors to design, implement, and validate advanced IMU-based machine control hardware. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure rugged, production-ready designs, lead design reviews, and develop test plans for harsh environments, driving production handoff and compliance.
This on-site role offers relocation support and a path to technical leadership within CTCT and Caterpillar's
Qualifications
- Experience in embedded systems and sensors circuit design.
- Proficient with Orcad/Altium; capable of circuit testing.
- Strong MATLAB and SPICE; familiarity with C/C++ firmware.
- Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) or Bachelor's Degree (BSEE) with equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
- Architect PCB-level sensor interface circuitry, including power regulation; ensure ruggedness in harsh environments.
- Lead comprehensive validation plans covering thermal cycling, vibration, and environmental testing.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
