Job summary

Baxter International Inc. is seeking a skilled network and server engineer to drive the technical implementation of Baxter Care Communications products in a healthcare setting.

You will oversee installations, network design, and third-party contractor activities while coordinating with IT, MIS, biomed, and education teams. The role requires travel up to 25% (potentially higher on demand) and may include weekend or after-hours work to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Strong Windows, SQL, IIS, and network/system administration knowledge.
• Experience with Linux server environments.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, VLAN and security considerations.
• Willing to travel ~25% (up to 100% when needed).
• Experience leading small teams during implementations.
• Excellent written and spoken communication.

Responsibilities

• Organize and lead multiple project implementations in a healthcare environment.
• Lead network architecture, system fail-over, and other technical system design discussions with customer IT, MIS or biomed departments, installation contractors, and other trades as required.
• Implement all installations per protocols.
• Manage and perform installation of Baxter Care Communications and their partners’ applications/systems.
• Provide Tier 3 support for customer through our support organization.
• Complete, post, and update system, network and server documentation in compliance with SOP, work instructions, standard processes and to ensure successful support of the system.
• Provide continuous improvement feedback both written and verbal to improve products and processes.
• Contribute to improvements and apply internal tools such CRM, knowledge base, helpcenter, etc.
• Demonstrates a pro-active approach towards safety, health, and quality in compliance with all company, governmental and customer regulations.
• Consistency to all company policies and procedures.
