Job summary

Baxter Healthcare is seeking a skilled engineer to perform the technical implementation of Baxter Care Communications products in a healthcare setting. You will oversee software, hardware, and network tasks, provide direction to 3rd party contractors, and collaborate with Project Managers, Educational Services, and Sales to ensure customer satisfaction during implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience (3+ years)
• Advanced understanding of Windows platforms, SQL, IIS and related networks
• Linux server administration experience
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI, VLANs and security issues
• Willingness to travel ~25% (up to 100% at times)
• Strong project management fundamentals and leadership capabilities
• Ability to lead small teams during implementations
• Valid driver's license; ability to lift 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Organize and lead multiple project implementations in a healthcare environment
• Lead network architecture and system design discussions with customer IT teams and contractors
• Installations per protocols and customer requirements
• Manage installation of Baxter Care Communications and partner applications/systems
• Provide Tier 3 support via the support organization
• Document system, network and server configurations and SOPs
• Provide continuous improvement feedback for products and processes
• Utilize internal tools (CRM, knowledge base, helpcenter)
• Operate with safety, health, and quality in mind and follow company policies
