Job summary

Deltek is seeking an experienced ERP Consultant to join our global Consulting team. You will deliver software implementation projects as both an individual contributor and team member, ensuring quality outcomes on budget and on schedule for professional services clients.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in consulting implementing ERP solutions or as a Financial Controller in a professional services environment, with expertise in Core Accounting, Billing, GL, AP/AR and Financial Reporting.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in a consulting capacity implementing ERP solutions or as a Financial Controller in a professional services environment.
• Experience in Core Accounting, Billing, G/L, AP, AR and Financial Reporting processes.
• Understanding of operational business processes, ERP knowledge and Resource Planning.
• Full lifecycle ERP implementation experience.
• Ability to communicate with senior executives and present to diverse client bases.

Job description

We are actively seeking an experienced Consultant with ERP implementation experience to join our global Consulting team. In this role, you will work as both an individual contributor and team member to provide software implementation delivery services that ensure both quality work products and an integrated solution on budget and in a timely manner to our professional services clients.

In order to be successful in this role, we expect you will have worked for at least 3-5 years in a consulting capacity, implementing ERP solutions, or working as a Financial Controller within a professional services environment, as this is the key industry of focus.

We are ideally looking for specific knowledge in Core Accounting, Billing, G/L, AP, AR and Financial Reporting processes and best practices. We are also looking for a thorough understanding of operational business processes, ERP knowledge and Resource Planning. Knowledge of a Deltek Maconomy implementation would be beneficial, but not required and we’d love it if you had proven experience in the following key areas:

• Business Skills: understanding of business processes and KPI's, and a clear ability to articulate these concepts and impacts
• IT Skills: understanding of how to work with IT and a keen interest in technology, to include configuration, testing etc.
• Consulting Skills: strong communication, presentation and expectation management skills. You must be able to communicate in writing and verbally with a very diverse client base, particularly to a senior level audience
• Successful completion of at least one full lifecycle ERP implementation of a major enterprise suite
• Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to effectively present to Executive Management
• Enthusiasm towards accounting software and related technology
• Good understanding of complex sales cycle with analytical / problem solving skills
• Data manipulation skills, at a minimum ‘not afraid to try’
• Positive, energetic, “can-do” attitude is a must. This is a role for a motivated, nimble self-starter
• A willingness, if not a passion for travel
