Deltek, Inc. is seeking an experienced ERP implementation Consultant to deliver software solutions for professional services clients.

You will work both independently and as part of a project team, applying Deltek methodology to design, configure and implement financial systems that meet client needs. You will use your deep knowledge of Core Accounting, Billing, G/L, AP, AR and Financial Reporting to drive successful engagements, while communicating clearly with executives and project

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in a consulting capacity implementing ERP solutions or as a Financial Controller in a professional services environment.
• Specific knowledge in Core Accounting, Billing, G/L, AP, AR and Financial Reporting processes and best practices.
• Thorough understanding of operational business processes, ERP knowledge and Resource Planning.
• Deltek Maconomy implementation knowledge is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ERP implementation services following Deltek methodology and best practices.
• Lead solution design and configuration to meet client business needs; coordinate with Project Management.
• Contribute as both individual contributor and team member to ensure quality work and on-budget delivery.
• Communicate effectively with diverse client base, including senior management.
• Travel as required to client sites; some international travel may be expected.

Job description

We are actively seeking an experienced Consultant with ERP implementation experience to join our global Consulting team. In this role, you will work as both an individual contributor and team member to provide software implementation delivery services that ensure both quality work products and an integrated solution on budget and in a timely manner to our professional services clients. To be successful in this role, you will be required to demonstrate a broad understanding of financial software solutions, industry best practices and software implementation knowledge.
This position will require you to operate independently and to demonstrate proficiency in delivering functional and technical solutions on engagements applying Deltek methodology and best practices. You will work as part of a team lead to deliver the solution design and configuration to meet client business needs, as well as varied implementation aspects of the engagements in coordination with Project Management.
This is a revenue generating position with performance metrics tied to results and utilization. Some travel will be required to clients when practicable and limited international travel may be expected.

In order to be successful in this role, we expect you will have worked for at least 3-5 years in a consulting capacity, implementing ERP solutions, or working as a Financial Controller within a professional services environment, as this is the key industry of focus.

We are ideally looking for specific knowledge in Core Accounting, Billing, G/L, AP, AR and Financial Reporting processes and best practices. We are also looking for a thorough understanding of operational business processes, ERP knowledge and Resource Planning. Knowledge of a Deltek Maconomy implementation would be beneficial, but not required and we'd love it if you had proven experience in the following key areas:

• Business Skills: understanding of business processes and KPI's, and a clear ability to articulate these concepts and impacts


• IT Skills: understanding of how to work with IT and a keen interest in technology, to include configuration, testing etc.


• Consulting Skills: strong communication, presentation and expectation management skills. You must be able to communicate in writing and verbally with a very diverse client base, particularly to a senior level audience


• Successful completion of at least one full lifecycle ERP implementation of a major enterprise suite


• Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to effectively present to Executive Management


• Enthusiasm towards accounting software and related technology


• Good understanding of complex sales cycle with analytical / problem solving skills


• Data manipulation skills, at a minimum 'not afraid to try'


• Positive, energetic, "can-do" attitude is a must. This is a role for a motivated, nimble self-starter


• A willingness, if not a passion for travel


• US Citizenship or Green Card Holder

The U.S. salary range for this position is $72,000.00-$127,000.00. This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including incentive compensation and equity.
