Job summary

Marengo Therapeutics seeks a Senior Scientist in Cambridge, MA to lead in vitro immunology work, designing and executing cell-based assays with human, murine, and NHP immune cells to evaluate target engagement, immune activation, cytotoxicity, and mechanism of action.

You will build TDCC and tumor co-culture assays, characterize Vß‑selective T cell activation and memory/exhaustion phenotypes, apply multi-parameter flow cytometry and immunoassays, and translate complex data into clear program

Qualifications

• PhD in Immunology, Cell Biology, or related field with 4+ years (or MS with 8+ years) hands-on immunology experience.
• Demonstrated experience executing immunological assays with primary immune cells.
• Hands-on experience with T cell functional assays (activation, proliferation, cytokine production, cytotoxicity).
• Strong data analysis and interpretation skills; translate complex datasets into conclusions.
• Expertise with multi-parameter flow cytometry.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to drive cross-functional collaboration.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and standard scientific software.

Responsibilities

• Design, optimize, and execute in vitro and ex vivo cellular assays using human, murine, and NHP immune cells.
• Develop TDCC and tumor co-culture assays to define potency and selectivity.
• Characterize Vß-selective T cell activation and memory/exhaustion phenotypes.
• Apply flow cytometry and immunoassays (ELISA, MSD) to assess function.
• Analyze multi-parameter data and present findings to teams.
• Mentor junior scientists and ensure rigorous lab practices.
• Support in vivo study activities with collaboration.
