Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Research Senior Technician to support the Wieland Laboratory within the Pelotonia Institute for Immuno-Oncology. The role centers on performing experiments and maintaining lab systems to advance studies in tumor immunology and immune regulation.

You will assist in immune profiling studies, operate biosafety cabinets, centrifuges, and flow cytometers, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory protocols while documenting data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biological or chemical sciences with relevant experience.
• High school diploma or GED with 4 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's Degree with 2 years; Bachelor's with 0 years.
• Knowledge of general laboratory procedures and safety practices.
• Ability to follow detailed experimental protocols and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory experiments under supervision of PI or senior staff.
• Assist in sample preparation, data collection, and basic analysis for immune profiling experiments.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including biosafety cabinets, centrifuges, and flow cytometers.
• Maintain cell cultures, reagents, and experimental inventories.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety, biosafety, and regulatory protocols.
• Assist in organization and documentation of experimental data.
