Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Senior Medical Technologist to support the Immunology and Flow Cytometry sections.

The role involves performing routine and specialized tests, reporting results timely, and serving as a technical resource within the lab. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's in Medical Technology, MT/MLS certification, and a minimum of three years of clinical laboratory experience with high-complexity testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology from an accredited institution is required.
• Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) by ASCP or AMT, or equivalent certification.
• Minimum of three years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting; high-complexity testing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized tests in the clinical laboratory.
• Report results within established timeframes and ensure accuracy.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and monitor quality indicators; maintain documentation.
