Job summary

Covenant Health Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville seeks a Senior Imaging Technician for Radiology Diagnostic. This full-time role covers 80 hours per pay period with variable shifts and supports complex imaging operations in a leading hospital setting.

The Senior Imaging Tech will perform high-quality X-ray procedures, ensure ALARA safety, assist in interventional imaging, train/mentor staff and students, and help maintain PACS and RIS systems, contributing to patient safety and care

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) and Tennessee state licensure required.
• Minimum 2 years diagnostic imaging experience.
• Proficient in fluoroscopy and specialized exams.

Responsibilities

• Apply ALARA to minimize radiation exposure and maintain safety.
• Document clinical history and orders in the medical record; HIPAA compliant.
• Perform routine and advanced imaging procedures per licensed practitioner.
• Assist in interventional procedures and prepare consent forms.
• Maintain PACS and radiology information systems; manage supplies.
• Train and orient staff and supervise students when present.
• Support supervisor with reports and inventory; ensure quality images.
• Ensure patient safety and age-appropriate care; stay current with BLS.
