Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Senior Scientist to lead preclinical MRI imaging strategy and execution. You will design studies, analyze data, and collaborate with biologists, chemists, clinicians, and statisticians across therapeutic areas to support drug development.

Responsibilities include MRI protocol development, image processing, and cross-functional project management. A PhD with 2+ years of relevant experience or advanced degrees with extensive MRI exposure is preferred; strong

Qualifications

  • PhD or equivalent in Life Sciences with relevant imaging experience.
  • Extensive experience in MRI and imaging analysis.
  • Hands-on experience in animal imaging.
  • Proficiency in scientific/technical writing (regulatory documents, protocols).
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills; adaptable to change.
  • Knowledge of chemistry and biology for imaging study development (preferable).
  • Programming experience with Python, Matlab, and Bruker Paravision preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure daily operation of MRI scanners and MRI study quality in animals.
  • Develop and optimize MRI acquisition protocols/studies.
  • Establish complex image analysis and processing pipelines.
  • Manage projects across oncology, neuroscience, and cardiovascular areas.
  • Apply scientific/technical skills to conduct experiments and studies.
  • Adapt methods using breadth of knowledge and experience.
  • Make decisions impacting the team or project.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement or new technologies.
  • Present data in multidisciplinary meetings and represent the department.
