Job summary

MLK Community Healthcare in Los Angeles, CA, seeks a Lead PACS Administrator / Imaging Informaticist to serve as the senior technical authority for the enterprise imaging environment. This hands-on leadership role includes setting architecture standards, guiding Visage PACS/VNA migration, and coordinating across radiology, IT, and external partners to maintain high availability and clinical reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health informatics, computer science, radiologic sciences, or a related field.
• Ten or more years of PACS administration, imaging informatics, or enterprise imaging experience in a hospital environment; seven+ years with strong enterprise architecture and migration experience may be considered.
• Deep working knowledge of DICOM, HL7, and IHE profiles, including DICOM storage, modality worklist, and HL7 messages.
• Hands-on Cerner (Oracle Health) imaging integration experience, including orders, results, and worklist flow.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior technical authority for enterprise imaging and set architecture standards.
• Lead end-to-end Visage 7 PACS and VNA migration, including validation and cutover planning.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to PACS teams and analysts.
• Own imaging integration architecture with Cerner Millennium and related systems.
• Lead cross‑team incident command and coordinate resolution across networks, desktops, and applications.
• Manage vendor relationships and review changes before production.
