Job summary
SolSearch Energy is seeking a Senior Project Developer to lead its community solar initiatives in Illinois from site selection to notice to proceed. Qualifications
- 5+ years in solar project development (Illinois)
- Experience taking Illinois community solar projects to NTP
- Strong knowledge of county permitting and interconnection in Illinois
- Comfortable leading discussions with landowners, county boards and local officials
- Experience with Illinois Shines or related programs is a plus
Responsibilities
- Lead Illinois projects from site selection through to notice to proceed
- Find and secure sites, and negotiate directly with landowners
- Run county permitting, including special use permits and hearings
- Manage interconnection with ComEd and Ameren through study process
- Position projects for Illinois Shines and handle program requirements
- Coordinate engineering, environmental and legal consultants
- Represent projects at zoning boards and community meetings
