Job summary

SolSearch Energy is seeking a Senior Project Developer to lead its community solar initiatives in Illinois from site selection to notice to proceed. You will coordinate with landowners, developers, and utility stakeholders to identify viable sites and shepherd projects through permitting and interconnection processes.

Based in Illinois, you will drive county permitting, engage with county boards, and position projects for Illinois Shines, while coordinating engineering, environmental and legal

Qualifications

• 5+ years in solar project development (Illinois)
• Experience taking Illinois community solar projects to NTP
• Strong knowledge of county permitting and interconnection in Illinois
• Comfortable leading discussions with landowners, county boards and local officials
• Experience with Illinois Shines or related programs is a plus

Title: Senior Project Developer, Community Solar (Illinois)

I'm working with an established Midwest solar developer that's looking to add a Senior Project Developer to its team. They develop community solar and utility scale projects, and this role will lead their community solar work in Illinois.

What you'll do

What you'll bring

• 5+ years in solar project development
• Illinois community solar projects you've taken to NTP yourself
• Strong knowledge of county permitting and interconnection in Illinois
• Comfortable leading the room with landowners, county boards and local officials
• Minnesota community solar or storage experience is a plus
• Based in Illinois
