Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking an ILD Sales Consultant to implement ILD sales and marketing plans across assigned hospitals and clinics in the United States. The role requires building relationships with pulmonology and related specialties, traveling as needed, and supporting education and payer liaison activities.

The candidate should have a background in pharmaceutical sales and excellent communication skills, with the ability to travel overnight and occasionally work weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience; 2+ years in Specialty/Pulmonary preferred.
• Strong communications skills are required to perform the job satisfactorily.
• Ability to travel with overnights; some weekend programs may be required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical if required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ILD product knowledge and selling skills to influence HCPs and support use of BI products.
• Executes brand strategies and plans to ensure consistent sales and marketing messaging.
• Develops pre-call plans and fosters HCP network development and trust.
• Analyzes territory data to optimize ILD calls and respond to local market conditions.
• Manages budgets and coordinates with internal BI teams to support programs.
• Complies with all regulations and company policy; reports violations promptly.
• Ensures timely administrative duties and participates in Sales Training.
