Job summary

Raytheon seeks a Sr. Automation Systems Engineer in McKinney, TX to design, develop, implement, and sustain automation solutions and IIoT technologies for manufacturing. You will integrate automation with business systems and lead projects across the I4.0 lifecycle.

Role requires experience with industry tools and strong collaboration with factory teams, providing technical leadership from ideation through sustainment. This onsite position emphasizes safety and compliance within DoD standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• SQL database administration experience.
• Scripting experience: Python, C#, or PowerShell.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ignition, Splunk or Aegis FactoryLogix development experience.
• Data analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with program and factory customers to identify, develop, and define manufacturing automation and digital solutions.
• Support early New Product Introduction activities including Design for Manufacturing engagements.
• Perform continuous improvement, upgrades, and sustainment of deployed automation systems.
• Collaborate with the factory to identify, develop, and deploy process automation systems and digital solutions.
• Provide technical leadership through early project phases and after transition to execution team.
• Involve in full I4.0 project lifecycle from requirements to execution and sustainment.
