Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking a Senior Ignition Developer for a fully remote role with occasional travel to client sites. You will design and deploy Ignition SCADA solutions, lead HMI/SCADA development, and collaborate with controls engineers and end users to define system requirements.

The ideal candidate has extensive Ignition experience, including Perspective or Vision, and a strong background in PLC integrations, OPC UA, and SQL within process industries.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of SCADA development experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on Ignition development.
• Strong experience with Ignition Perspective and/or Vision.
• Experience integrating PLC platforms (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider, Emerson).
• Solid understanding of industrial networking, OPC UA, and SQL.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Renewables, Manufacturing, Chemicals, Utilities, or similar process industries.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with project teams.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy Ignition SCADA solutions for industrial clients.
• Lead development of HMI, SCADA, reporting, and historian apps.
• Work with controls engineers and end users to define requirements.
• Configure Ignition Perspective, Vision, and Reporting modules.
• Integrate PLCs, databases, OPC servers, and third-party systems.
• Support system testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and ongoing client support.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers.
• Participate in architecture discussions and establish development best practices.
