• Coordinates development and preparation of reports, data, policy, and procedures for assigned units.
• Carries out administrative operations including research, proposal development, and project implementation; monitors timelines and progress.
• Interviews, supervises and evaluates subordinate managers and provides training, counseling and direction to staff.
• Participates in budget and procurement processes, providing assessments of current projects and initiatives.
• Originates complex reports and correspondence for signature by Sheriff and senior management.
• Supervises program and course design; prepares materials and schedules classes.
• Researches legal questions to ensure conformance with laws; counsels Sheriff and staff on complex legal issues.
• Maintains positive intra/inter-governmental and public relations.
• Willingly performs tasks within the class responsibility.
