Job summary

Vitaver & Associates, Inc is seeking a Senior Mainframe Programmer specialized in IDMS to design, develop, and maintain IDMS/COBOL applications in a Z/OS mainframe environment. This remote-option contract role requires expertise in IDMS programs, screen mapping, and batch COBOL with JCL.

The candidate will perform systems analysis, design for new and existing apps, provide production support, and manage project tasks with IT stakeholders. 12-month contract, Miami area remote option, ASAP start.

Qualifications

• 5+ years IDMS experience with Online IDMS programs (ADSO, IDD, ADSC, MAPC, DDDL, DMLO, OLP, PFCH, DME) and IDMS screen mapping (symbolic and physical).
• 5+ years COBOL batch development in a Z/OS mainframe environment.
• 5+ years JCL experience.
• TSO/ISPF and SPF experience.
• SAS, VegaSoft, and VSAM experience.
• 5+ years systems analysis, design, and development.
• Experience with project management and project implementation.
• Experience with application production support/ IT customer service.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain IDMS/COBOL applications in a Z/OS mainframe environment.
• Perform systems analysis and design for new and existing applications.
• Develop and maintain Online IDMS programs and screen mapping (symbolic and physical).
• Write and maintain batch COBOL programs and JCL scripts.
• Provide production support for mainframe applications, troubleshooting and resolving issues.
• Manage project tasks and timelines related to systems development and implementation.
• Provide technical support and service to internal and client IT stakeholders.
