Job summary

Randstad Digital Americas is seeking a Software Engineer for a contract role in Austin, TX. You will own complex authentication features, support enterprise web apps, and shape secure, scalable identity journeys including Passwordless Login and Risk Based Authentication.

You will collaborate with product, security, and architecture teams; apply AI-assisted engineering workflows; and ensure quality through automated testing, CI/CD, and security tooling.

Qualifications

• Experience designing Passwordless Login and modern authentication journeys.
• Experience with Risk Based Authentication concepts and policy decisions.
• Experience deploying containerized apps to cloud platforms (GCP/AWS).

Responsibilities

• Own design, development, testing, and support for complex components with secure authentication.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineers to decompose features and meet sprint commitments.
• Design and implement secure, resilient authentication journeys using risk signals and policy-based decisions.
• Contribute to Passwordless Login, FIDO2/WebAuthn, Risk Based Authentication, and identity solutions.
• Build and consume REST APIs and reusable services aligned with platform standards.
• Maintain high standards for automated testing, CI/CD, security tooling, and release readiness.
• Troubleshoot production incidents with ownership and technical judgment.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and design discussions.
• Apply AI-assisted development practices across SDLC with validated AI outputs.
