Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Slack's Identity Security team to build identity and access controls for Slack's infrastructure and AI agents. You will develop backend services on AWS and Kubernetes, focusing on security and reliability.

You will collaborate across Identity, Security, and Infrastructure teams, review code, and take increasing ownership of projects as you grow domain expertise. Excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production backend systems.
• Proficiency in Python or Go.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and deploying services.
• Knowledge of distributed systems (APIs, services, data stores).
• Strong secure software development practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and build identity and access management services on AWS and Kubernetes.
• Extend agentic identity controls for AI agents and human users.
• Build automation to reduce manual steps in access management.
• Collaborate with Identity, Security, and Infrastructure teams on shared services.
• Participate in code and design reviews to ensure quality and reliability.
• Grow ownership of projects and systems as you gain domain expertise.
