Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build identity and access controls protecting Slack's infrastructure and AI agents. You will design backend services on AWS/Kubernetes, implement automated access workflows, and work across Identity, Security, and Infrastructure teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

Experience in Python or Go, strong security practices, and a track record of shipping production systems are required.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional software engineering experience
Proficiency in Python or Go
Hands-on experience with AWS
Knowledge of distributed systems concepts
Strong security fundamentals and secure SDLC practices
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

Design and build identity and access management services on AWS and Kubernetes.
Extend identity controls for AI agents operating within Slack's systems.
Build automation to remove manual steps in access management.
Collaborate with Identity, Security, and Infrastructure teams on shared services.
Participate in code and design reviews to ensure high-quality code and design.
Grow ownership of projects and systems as you gain domain expertise.
