Job summary

Camunda is seeking an Engineering Manager for Identity to lead the team delivering the IAM foundation for Camunda 8, both on‑prem and SaaS, impacting growth and security across customers.

You will coach senior engineers, own end-to-end IAM components (OIDC, SAML, RBAC), and partner with multiple teams to ensure reliable, scalable integration across the platform.

This fully remote position offers ownership, high visibility, and opportunities to shape enterprise-grade identity solutions at scale.

Qualifications

• Senior IAM expert with leadership experience in enterprise software.
• Ability to own 6-month projects with 3–5 engineers, from inception to release.
• Hands-on with IAM implementations or integrations (OIDC/SAML).
• Strong stakeholder management and clear communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Background in product engineering for integration-heavy B2B products, focusing on security and operability.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of reusable IAM components across Camunda 8 stack (authentication, authorization, federation).
• Collaborate with multiple engineering teams, SREs, QA, and Product Leadership to drive a clear vision and roadmap.
• Maintain low-effort build/release pipelines, ship security fixes within SLOs, reduce incidents.
• Grow and coach a team of engineers in a remote, asynchronous environment.
• Mature SaaS offerings to easily integrate with customers' IAM solutions.
