Job summary

FINRA in Rockville, MD seeks a Senior Systems Administrator/Engineer – Identity and Infrastructure to design, automate, secure, and support enterprise identity and hybrid infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and on‑premises environments.

You will own Active Directory, Entra ID, Windows Server, Google Workspace, and cloud service integrations, develop PowerShell automation, implement monitoring, security controls, and participate in DR/BCP, SOX testing, and cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field and 5+ years of related experience.
• Senior level systems administrator experience in production data centers.
• Knowledge of monitoring and diagnostic tools; scripting language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, administer, and modernize enterprise identity and hybrid infrastructure services across Azure, AWS, and on‑premises environments.
• Engineer and support Active Directory, Entra ID, Windows Server, domain controllers, DNS, and access controls.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell automation for onboarding, identity administration, monitoring, and configuration management.
• Establish monitoring, health checks, alerting, metrics, and recovery procedures using Splunk and cloud-native tools.
• Collaborate with architecture, cybersecurity, networking, and vendor teams to deliver secure, compliant solutions.
• Lead incident response, root-cause analysis, and service restoration across identity, cloud, server, and app integration technologies.
