HDR is a global engineering and design firm based in Salt Lake City. We are seeking a Senior ICT Security Designer to lead security system design across ICT disciplines, delivering coordinated drawings and specifications.

You will mentor junior designers, collaborate with Project Managers, and present designs to clients, reflecting HDR’s commitment to innovation, quality, and inclusive teams. HDR emphasizes employee ownership and empowering authentic contributions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years of experience in security system design and familiarity with Autodesk.
• RCDD (Registered Communication Distribution Designer) helpful; active participant in employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, select and apply security system designs, techniques and procedures.
• Design security systems including PLC, CCTV and card access equipment.
• Create construction drawings and write specifications for ICT/Security matters.
• Lead designer role in a fast-paced design environment; coordinate across disciplines.
• Mentor junior designers and coordinate with project teams to ensure fully coordinated scope.
