Job summary

PDS Inc. in Seattle is seeking an ICT Design Engineer to collaborate with engineers and managers company-wide. Your day-to-day work will focus on developing telecom pathway, space, and cabling designs, with specifications for construction.

You will lead inside- and outside-plant design activities, coordinate with MEP/CSA teams, review submittals, and perform field surveys to support rapid, high-impact AWS infrastructure projects within a defined scope.

Qualifications

• 5+ years ICT design experience in mission critical environments.
• 5+ years of design documentation experience for construction or permitting.
• 5+ years working with fiber optic components, cabling, and interconnect products.
• Experience in data centers, power gen, or oil & gas facilities.
• Knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• BICSI RCDD Certification or equivalent (CDCDP, DCDC).

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable inside- and outside-plant designs, with drawings and specs.
• Coordinate building designs with MEP and CSA teams.
• Review and approve ICT space, pathway, cabling, and equipment submittals.
• Identify and respond to risks; escalate to the FTE sponsor as needed.
• Perform construction administration: review RFIs and submittals; conduct field surveys.
• Generate site reports based on field conditions.
• Work with construction teams to arrive at expedited solutions.
