Job summary

TekFive is seeking a senior Maximo specialist to lead installation, configuration, and upgrades of IBM Maximo Application Suite on-site in Houston. You will design enterprise-scale MAS architecture, implement MIF REST integrations, and develop automation scripts in Python/JavaScript/XML/JSON.

The role requires strong Linux administration, SSO, and data modeling for BI with BIRT/Power BI. Experience with NASA or federal environments is preferred; domestic government clearance is a plus.

Qualifications

• We require a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or another related technical field.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience administering and engineering IBM Maximo environments.
• Extensive experience with IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS).
• Advanced knowledge of IBM Maximo architecture, MIF, automation scripting, REST APIs, and enterprise integrations.
• Strong experience with Linux administration, shell scripting, Python, JavaScript, XML, and JSON.
• Experience with BIRT reporting, Power BI, data modeling, and RLS.
• Experience deploying and supporting Red Hat OpenShift environments.
• Experience configuring Maximo Mobile and MAF applications.
• Experience integrating MAS with Microsoft Entra ID.
• Understanding of secure authentication methods and API security.
• Excellent communication skills to present technical information to leaders and teams.
• Experience using Jira Service Management or similar.
• Prefer NASA or federal government enterprise experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, troubleshooting, and ongoing administration of IBM Maximo Application Suite.
• Design and implement enterprise-scale Maximo architecture supporting multiple sites.
• Create and maintain automation scripts using Python, JavaScript, XML, and JSON.
• Configure and support MIF, including REST API integrations.
• Design secure enterprise integration architectures and apply authentication and API management standards.
• Define integration messaging, monitoring, logging, and error-handling approaches.
• Configure and administer Maximo Mobile, including SSO implementations.
• Configure applications using MAF.
• Manage user synchronization between MAS and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Develop and support BIRT reports and Power BI dashboards.
• Implement row-level security and data segregation requirements.
• Data modeling to support BI reporting initiatives.
• Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based Maximo environments.
• Support containerized deployments using OpenShift.
• Monitor system performance and recommend scalability improvements.
• Prepare technical documentation and present solutions to leadership and customers.
• Manage issues and change requests using Jira Service Management or similar.
