Job summary
CoSourcing Partners - Enterprise-AI and IT Services Company is seeking a Senior IBM i Developer to stabilize and migrate a legacy IBM i environment as part of a transition to a new TPA. The consultant will own NMIC400/Basys, reverse engineering processes, and documenting dependencies with limited existing documentation.
The role requires deep hands-on RPG/RPGLE, CL, and DB2 for i experience, plus the ability to work independently through complex data migrations and transition activities.
Qualifications
- Extensive hands-on IBM i, AS/400, or iSeries experience.
- Deep know-how of RPG/RPGLE and CL.
- Strong DB2 for i knowledge, with experience in data structures and reporting.
- Ability to read and reverse engineer unfamiliar legacy source code.
- Experience migrating legacy data and validating results.
Responsibilities
- Become the primary technical resource for the NMIC400/Basys IBM i environment.
- Analyze RPG/RPGLE programs, CL procedures, DB2 for i structures, and batch jobs.
- Reverse engineer undocumented applications and processes to understand critical business functions.
- Identify risks, undocumented dependencies, and knowledge gaps.
- Troubleshoot production issues and maintain continuity during the transition.
- Support data migration, mapping, reconciliation, and validation with stakeholders.
