Job summary

American Electric Power (AEP) is seeking a Security Specialist - Identity & Access Management (IAM) to design, implement, and support IAM capabilities across the enterprise. The role collaborates with security teams, architects, developers, auditors, and business partners to ensure secure access management throughout the identity lifecycle.

You will contribute to role-based access control, privileged access governance, identity hygiene, and non-human identity initiatives while translating

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT/Security or equivalent experience.
• Experience in IAM governance, RBAC, and privileged access controls.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in IAM strategy, design, and delivery across the enterprise.
• Support access governance, RBAC, and entitlement reviews.
• Assist in privileged and non-human identity governance initiatives.
