Job summary

CoreWeave is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Identity & Access Management team. You will design, build, and scale a high-performance IAM platform, focusing on secure authentication/authorization and scalable backend services.

You will collaborate across product, design, and TPM teams to align on strategy and deliver reliable systems. You should have 5+ years in backend development with distributed systems experience, proficiency in Go/TypeScript/Python, and strong skills in API

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience developing, operating and maintaining backend services in a production environment.
• Strong proficiency in Go, TypeScript, or Python and building distributed systems.
• Experience with microservices, RESTful/gRPC API design and asynchronous messaging patterns.
• Fluency with observability practices: logging, metrics, dashboards, alerts.
• Solid understanding of relational databases, schema design, and SQL.
• Commitment to automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Demonstrated ownership of code quality, performance, and maintainability.
• Experience with authentication, authorization and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build high-scale, low-latency distributed systems powering identity, authentication, and authorization.
• Design and implement APIs and backend services for the IAM platform.
• Optimize performance to remain highly available under unpredictable load patterns.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and TPMs to shape strategy and roadmap.
• Contribute to on-call rotations and build automated tooling for monitoring and incident response.
• Advocate for maintainable, testable code and thorough code reviews.
• Work in a supportive, agile environment with cross-functional teams.
